FINANCE OFFICER
In 2005 I became a Residential Faculty member teaching Economics in the Social Science department at Glendale Community College. I joined the Faculty Executive Council (FEC) in 2015 and the FacPAC Board in 2020.
As Finance Officer my primary duty is to serve as the faculty tri-chair of the district-wide Advisory Budget Council (ABC). There, in the spirit of shared governance, I provide a faculty perspective on the ongoing evolution of Maricopa’s financial affairs. Additionally, I sit on both the Chancellor’s Executive Council and FEC to keep both administrators and faculty leaders apprised of conversations and plans regarding our budget, while simultaneously relaying information back to ABC from those administrators and faculty leaders to better inform our budget development process.
Because I reject the concept of free time, I also sit on the district’s Residential Faculty Administration Collaboration Team, the Compensation Advisory Council, the Committee on Academic Freedom, and the Enterprise Model Team.
In 2005 I became a residential faculty member teaching Economics in the Social Science department at Glendale Community College. This year will mark my eight year on the FEC, where I have served at times as an at-large representative, a Senate President, the Finance Officer, President-Elect, and President.
