FACULTY ASSOCIATION OFFICER

With the President-Elect and Past President, I work to provide the faculty voice to the District in the shared governance of MCCCD.  With the President-Elect and Past President, I attend all Chancellor’s Executive Council meetings, and meet individually with the Chancellor, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, and the other Vice Chancellors. I also attend all Faculty Association Officers’, Faculty Executive Council, and MCCCD Governing Board meetings, and serve on multiple task forces as a representative of FEC. I teach Anthropology at Scottsdale Community College, which I have done for 15 years; I was an OYO at Glendale for 2 years prior to becoming residential faculty at SCC and an adjunct for various campuses prior to that. Before becoming faculty, I worked at the District Budget Office under Debbie Thompson where I did Tuition and Fee Rebates, the Legal Budget, and staffed the FAC (Financial Advisory Committee) 

I served as President-Elect of SCC’s Faculty Senate for two years, as SCC Senate’s President for two years, and then as SCC Senate’s Past President for one year.  I have been active on the FacPac committee for several years and served one year as the FEC Finance Officer.
