MATT JOLLY
PRESIDENT
As President of the Faculty Executive Council (FEC), I am responsible for managing FEC meetings and agendas, regularly reporting on faculty governance activities to FEC as well as appointing members and chairpersons of FEC Committees. Most importantly, it is the responsibility of the President to represent the interests of faculty and facilitate communication between the FEC, District Administration, and Governing Board.
I have served as English Program Director, English IC Chair, Senator, Senate Secretary, Faculty Senate President, Faculty Developer, FPG Advancement and Sabbatical Representative, member of RFACT, and Faculty Co-Chair of the Committee on Academic Freedom. I was hired as Residential Faculty in English at GateWay Community College in the fall of 2006. I have an MFA in creative writing with an emphasis in poetry. I have taught composition, creative writing, and literature classes in all modalities.
